And we’re closing our time in Milano with a street art feature! On this trip I did not find nearly the quantity that I have in some of the other articles on street art, but the quality of what I did find was high enough that I decided these murals deserved their own space. That being said, the mural map of Milan that I found on streetartcities.com suggests I may have missed some really good ones along the way, but that’s okay. I’ll be back!
I especially love the mural that you’ll see above on the cover of this article, because they not only managed to make the entire mural feel like a doodle in the margins of a notebook, but also imitated the texture of the brushstrokes of a blue marker incredibly well. It’s a subtle detail, but as somebody who spent a lot of their schooling doing this in every notebook and textbook I could get my hands on, it was unmistakable. I was immediately “wowed”; I love this! Based on some research I did after the fact, I believe it was actually commissioned to celebrate (read: “advertise”) the release of a new anime series called Gachiakuta, which is why I was unable to track down the specific artist that painted it… normally this might dissuade me from featuring it so heavily in the article, as it might lean less toward “art” as it does “commerce”… but whatever. This mural won me over!
Anyway, without further ado, here are some awesome murals from Milan, Italy:
As always, I have made an attempt to credit the artists responsible for these murals here. Admittedly, my success rate in tracking down the artists responsible for the murals I find tends to be lower in Italy than many of its European peers, but I will try all the same! And kudos to Italians for being less concerned with getting attention. It gives me the vibe that people care more about the art itself here, and less about their own personal success—which is cool! But only makes me all the more motivated to credit them.
So, here’s who I was able to track down. But, if you know the identity of anybody that I’ve missed, please reach out and let me know!

That’s it for Milano this time around! I’m sure I’ll be back in Italy soon, but for now, it’s time to head across the French border for some adventures in the South of France that promise to make for some very interesting articles. Get your hopes up!
Ciao for now ✌️
